Shining Light Peer Services provides the highest quality of programs and services for the people we serve and their families.
Shining Light Peer Services provides effective and efficient administrative procedures ensuring quality service delivery and operational management.
It is the policy of Shining Light Peer Services, at a minimum, to:
- Ensure, to the best of our ability, the health and safety of all people affiliated with us.
- Provide program reports as required to measure and communicate productivity, performance, and accomplishment of goals; and to utilize this information for planning in order to improve program quality.
- To ensure that the human rights and dignity of all people be respected.
- To provide for a fair admission and discharge for all people seeking admission into any of our programs.
- To ensure and express a commitment to quality services.
- To provide quality community integrated services whenever possible and requested.
- To ensure an environment of non-discrimination for all parties.
- To review the financial position of the organization at each scheduled board meeting.
- To promote the trust of the public by protecting against the misappropriation of contributions and effectively utilize resources.
- To prohibit fee splitting with other agencies, staff, or the people we serve as consideration for referrals.
- To be actively involved in a process to remove architectural, attitudinal, employment, and other barriers to all persons served. Shining Light Peer Services shall have an approved plan on the subject that demonstrates compliance with all legal requirements.
- To hire, promote and maintain the highest quality staff, train them well, provide the best possible work environment, and offer a benefit package that keeps them in our employ.
- To promote strong organizational and individual leadership by following standards and organizational procedures that are developed and adjusted to ensure that quality processes and outcomes are achieved.
- To provide a system of person-centered service planning, design, and delivery to ensure that the needs and preferences of the people we serve are respected and met.
- To maintain the confidentiality of all the people we serve.
- To ensure that the rights of the people we serve are protected and that staff and the people we serve are educated about those rights.
- To ensure that programs respect and respond to (with reasonable accommodation) the specific cultural, age, and gender needs of participants.
